What we collect.

Short version: our apps do their work on your machine, and the only personal information we hold is what you type into the support form.

Our software

Md2PDF converts your files on your computer.

Md2PDF reads your Markdown and writes your PDF, EPUB, DOCX, or HTML entirely on the machine it’s installed on. Your documents are never uploaded, transmitted, or seen by us. We have no server that could receive them, and no account system that could identify you.

This isn’t a promise resting on good intentions — it’s enforced by how the app is built and packaged:

The conversion engine makes no network calls at all — not for fonts, not for stylesheets, not for images, not for telemetry, not for update checks.
The app package does not declare the internetClient capability. Windows itself restricts what the app can reach.
HTML output is self-contained: styles inlined and images embedded, so the files you produce don’t phone home either.
The one exception is the Microsoft Store licensing check, which confirms whether you hold a paid licence. It goes to Microsoft, not to us, and it tells us nothing. If you’re offline, the app simply runs in its free mode.

We collect no usage analytics, no crash telemetry, and no document contents. If you want us to see a file, you have to send it to us yourself.

The support form

What you tell us, and nothing more.

When you submit a request at llanodataworks.com/support, we store what you filled in:

Your first and last name and email address, so we can reply.
The product, its version if you give it, and the kind of issue.
Your description of the problem — whatever you choose to write.

Alongside that we record the date and time, your IP address, and your browser’s user-agent string. Those three are kept for one reason: to detect and block abuse of a form that is open to the public internet. They aren’t used to profile or track you, and they’re not shared.

There are no cookies on this website, no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no third-party scripts. The only resource this site loads from another company is the typeface, served by Google Fonts, which means Google receives the request for the font file.

Where it goes

Two places, both in the United States.

Microsoft Azure — the support record is written to an Azure SQL database hosted in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. This site is hosted on Azure too.
Twilio SendGrid — delivers the notification email that tells us your request came in. Your submission passes through their service to reach our inbox.

That’s the complete list. We do not sell your information, rent it, trade it, or share it for advertising — not with anyone, at any price. We’d disclose it only if the law required us to.

Your say

Ask and it’s gone.

We keep a support record as long as it’s useful — to finish helping you, and to recognise the problem if it comes back. There’s no business reason for us to hold it beyond that.

You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Send the request through the support form and choose Other as the issue type. We’ll act on it — no conditions, no retention argument.

Our products and this site aren’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
